I’m currently a project manager in telecom and have dabbled in the AP/AR department for work and am now realizing just how much I didn’t know before. This has been so leagues better than any Quizlet or YouTube video that I’ve come across thus far. I love the interaction, the ability to practice after each lesson, the infographics instead of just reading word after word. It’s amazing. One of my only wishes is that I could type in the information myself which would give me a greater satisfaction of being accurate as would be required in the real world, but I’m only just hitting Lesson 5 so I’m not sure if that’s an option further down the line. All in all, this has been immensely helpful for me to get practice in before starting my bachelors degree in accounting next year. I’d recommend this to any and everyone especially if you’re starting from the very basics as I am.

I LOVE this app. I've taken a few accounting courses but have been struggling to wrap my head around some of the material. This app presented the fundamental concepts simply and clearly in a way that was easy to understand. It's really helped fill in the gaps and build a strong foundation for me. A business's bookkeeping Journal contains all of a business's financial transactions ordered by date, just like a personal journal contains a person's life events ordered by date. You will receive step-by-step instructions on how to make journal entries in the accounting software simulator.

The Accounting Software's General Ledger
After a journal entry has been made, the accounting software simulator will sort the entry into the General Ledger of Accounts. The General Ledger of Accounts contains a business's assets, liabilities and equity accounts. In the accounting simulation, green colored accounts represent assets, red colored accounts represent liabilities, and blue colored accounts represent equity. Color coding the account categories makes it easier to interpret larger amounts of data.

The Accounting Software's Chart of Accounts
Review a business's Chart of Accounts in the accounting software simulator. The Chart of Accounts lists the account categories a business uses to sort its financial transactions.
Like the General Ledger, the Chart of Accounts displays asset accounts in green, liabilities accounts in red and equity accounts in blue. The color coding in the Chart of Accounts helps you understand the Accounting Equation, which is Assets = Liabilities + Equity. In the screenshot above, you can see that $30,000 of assets (green) is equal to $10,000 of Liabilities (red) + $20,000 in Equity (blue).

I am an educator myself with a doctorate and a masters degree. I can honestly say that the instructional design of this app is outstanding. A high school student can easily learn bookkeeping basics from this, and its simplicity makes it fun and engaging. I would have gladly paid $30 for this app. Thank you for creating this masterpiece.

I have used other learning apps for accounting and none come close to the teaching style of this app. He does a great job to use terms and an approach to take the student from simple to complex without losing you along the way. Definitely use this app.

Great way of explaining the fundamentals. The quizzes are excellent be they test concept knowledge frequently so it is not overwhelming.
