Make Your Own Journal Entries
in the Accounting Software Simulator

Practice Making Journal Entries
A business's bookkeeping Journal contains all of a business's financial transactions ordered by date, just like a personal journal contains a person's life events ordered by date. You will receive step-by-step instructions on how to make journal entries in the accounting software simulator.

Immediately View the Effects of Your Entry

One-Click Ledger Views
Quickly Review the Effects of Your Entry
After you make a journal entry in the accounting software simulator, you can immediately switch between the simulator's Journal (JL), General Ledger (GL) and Chart of Accounts (CA) to review its effects on the bookkeeping records.

View General Ledger Entries
in the Accounting Software Simulator

The Accounting Software's General Ledger
After a journal entry has been made, the accounting software simulator will sort the entry into the General Ledger of Accounts. The General Ledger of Accounts contains a business's assets, liabilities and equity accounts. In the accounting simulation, green colored accounts represent assets, red colored accounts represent liabilities, and blue colored accounts represent equity. Color coding the account categories makes it easier to interpret larger amounts of data.

View the Chart of Accounts
in the Accounting Software Simulator

The Accounting Software's Chart of Accounts
Review a business's Chart of Accounts in the accounting software simulator. The Chart of Accounts lists the account categories a business uses to sort its financial transactions.

Like the General Ledger, the Chart of Accounts displays asset accounts in green, liabilities accounts in red and equity accounts in blue. The color coding in the Chart of Accounts helps you understand the Accounting Equation, which is Assets = Liabilities + Equity. In the screenshot above, you can see that $30,000 of assets (green) is equal to $10,000 of Liabilities (red) + $20,000 in Equity (blue).

Great way of explaining the fundamentals. The quizzes are excellent be they test concept knowledge frequently so it is not overwhelming.

Just like the college course I took in high school. So nice to have an easy refresher and learning new things as well. Simple easy set to work well with mobile phone. Really useful kind of surprised it's free. Would recommend to anyone who wants to know what bookkeeping and accounting are like. If you are scared this is a great place to start. Good luck And thank you for the app.

The efficiency of the content makes learning easy and exciting, actually this App makes learning addictive!
